The walk will start at 8:00 AM and events will wrap up around 12:30 PM.
Participants can check in, receive their event T-shirt and awareness bracelet, and explore vendor booths offering resources on overdose prevention, addiction recovery, and mental health services.

The walk will follow a scenic route along the City of Saint Cloud Lake Front, with water and snack stations as well as event support along the way. Feel free to walk at your own pace, and enjoy the opportunity to connect with fellow participants along the city of Saint Cloud’s lakefront.
After the walk, participants are invited to share their personal stories, tributes, and memories of loved ones lost to overdose. Additional speakers will offer words of hope, recovery, and resilience.
A heartfelt moment of reflection to honor those lost to overdose. Participants can leave photos, notes, or names of loved ones lost to addiction at the memorial site, followed by a collective moment of silence.
The event will conclude with closing remarks, recognizing participants, volunteers, and sponsors who made Taniel’s Trek a meaningful day.
As you participate in Taniel’s Trek, take the time to explore the various vendor booths that will be present throughout the event. These vendors will be sharing valuable resources, information, and support related to addiction recovery, mental health services, and community programs.
In addition, enjoy a variety of food trucks offering delicious meals and snacks for purchase, ensuring that you stay fueled and refreshed throughout the day. Both vendors and food trucks will be available from the start of the event until the closing.
Taniel’s Trek is an overdose awareness walk organized to honor the memory of Taniel, who lost his life to a drug overdose. The event aims to raise awareness about the dangers of drug addiction and overdose, while encouraging people to share their stories of loss and recovery.

Yes, the registration fee is $10.00 per person, which includes an event t-shirt and a bracelet to raise awareness. All proceeds go towards supporting overdose prevention efforts and future awareness events.
Yes, virtual participation is available for those unable to attend in person. Virtual participants can register online and will receive a t-shirt and bracelet my mail.
The walk will be approximately 3.5 miles, with options for participants who prefer a shorter route.
The event is open to everyone, including families, friends, and individuals who wish to support overdose awareness and honor loved ones lost to addiction. All ages are welcome.
Yes, the event is family-friendly, and children are encouraged to participate. Leashed pets are also welcome, but please ensure they are comfortable in a crowd.
We encourage participants to walk in memory of a loved one by sharing their story. There will be a remembrance area where participants can leave photos, notes, or names of loved ones lost to addiction. You can also wear personalized shirts or create signs to honor them during the walk and event.

Participants should bring comfortable walking shoes, water, sunscreen, and any personal items they may need. If you are walking in honor of someone, feel free to bring signs or other memorabilia to share their story.
All proceeds from Taniel’s Trek will go toward overdose prevention efforts, supporting local addiction recovery programs, and organizing future awareness events.

In consideration of my participation in Taniel’s Trek: A Journey Towards Awareness and Healing (the Event), I hereby agree to the following:
1. Involves Inherent Risks
I understand that participating in a walking event (whether in-person or virtually) involved inherent risks, including, but not limited to, the risks of physical exertion, falls, contact with other participants, effects of weather, traffic, and road conditions. I voluntarily assume all such risks and accept personal responsibility for any injury, illness, damage, or loss arising from my participation in the Event, regardless of whether caused by the negligence of the Event organizers or others.
2. Health and Medical Condition
I affirm that I am physically capable of participating in the Event and have consulted a physician if necessary. I am aware that it is my responsibility to monitor my physical condition during the Event and agree to discontinue participation if I experience any signs of distress or discomfort.
3. Release of Waiver of Liability
I, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns, hereby fully release, waive, and discharge Taniel’s Trek, its organizers, sponsors, volunteers, staff, and all other affiliated entities from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action that may arise out of my participation in the Event, including, but not limited to, claims for personal injury, illness, death, or property damage. This release applies to claims based on negligence, breach of contract, or any other legal theory, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
4. Virtual Participation
If participating virtually, I acknowledge that the risks of participating in a walk or physical activity remotely may include hazards such as uneven terrain, weather conditions, or other environmental factors. I assume full responsibility for my own safety while participating in the Event in a virtual format.
5. Media Release
I understand that my image, likeness, or voice may be captured through photographs, video, or other media during the Event (both in-person and virtual). I grant Taniel’s Trek and its organizers the irrevocable right to use, reproduce, and publish such media for promotional, educational, or fundraising purposes, without compensation or further approval of me.
6. Health and Safety Guidelines
I agree to follow all rules and regulations with the Event, including instructions provided by event officials, volunteers, or staff. If participating in person, I understand that failure to comply with health and safety guideline, including local regulations regarding COVID-19 or other health advisories, may result in my removal from the Event.
7. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state where the Event is held, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action arising from participation in the Event shall be brought in the appropriate courts of that state.
